Birthdate: December 14, 1980 (according to Angel The Casefiles Vol. 1)
Hometown: Boston, MA
Into each generation a Slayer is born, one girl in all the world, a Chosen One,
one born with the strength and skill to hunt the vampires. But not always just one...
When Buffy died momentarily in Prophecy Girl, another Slayer- Kendra- was called. It turned
out to be more than a fluke. When Kendra was killed in Becoming Part I, Faith became the next Slayer.

Not much is known about Faith's life before she arrived in Sunnydale. She grew up in Boston, earning
the nickname Little Firecracker from her alcoholic mother. She dropped out of high school.
Faith's life was drastically altered when the ancient vampire Kakistos tortured her watcher to death in
front of her. Faith had stabbed Kakistos in the eye and he was determined to make her pay. With
Kakistos right on her heels, Faith's last resort was heading to Sunnydale.
Faith meets up with Buffy & the Scooby gang at the Bronze, after taking out a vamp. She initially lies,
telling them that her Watcher's just away at a retreat. Eventually Buffy and Giles uncover the truth.
With Buffy's help, Faith is able to defeat Kakistos.
Faith's problems are evenident from the beginning. She loves slaying, but is undisiplined and implusive.
She completely gets wrapped up in a fight, loosing control and pummeling her opponent.
She doesn't trust people at all, especially guys.

In the next few episodes, Faith helps out with guarding and tranquilizing wolfy Oz and goes to
the Homecoming dance with the gang. However, the possibility of Faith becoming a member of the Scooby
Gang is ended when Faith's so-called new Watcher, Gwendolyn Post, comes to town. At the same time,
it's discovered that Buffy has been lying about Angel being alive. Faith sets out to slay Angel and
the first fight between them erupts. The Faith watches another of her watcher's killed
in front of her as Gwen Post reveals herself to be a fraud and really out to get the evil Glove of
Myhnegon. Feeling completely betrayed and unwilling to trust anyone, Faith isolates herself from Buffy & The Scoobies.

Things start to change for Faith when she's invited to the Summers' house for Christmas Eve. She and Buffy are
back to working together and she helps stop an apocalypse. Faith sleeps with Xander after he rescues her from a demon.
After Buffy & Faith's new Watcher, Wesley Wyndam-Pryce arrives (Giles had been fired), things start to go horribly wrong.
Faith accidentally kills the Deputy Mayor (Allan Finch) while fighting a group of vampires. Faith is unable
to cope, insisting to Buffy that she doesn't care. The police discover Finch's body and question
Buffy and Faith. Buffy and Xander try to reach out to Faith, but she's far too gone. She nearly
kills Xander. Angel stops her, and tries an intervention. Just as he's getting through to her,
Wesley captures her and intents on taking her to the Council of Watchers in England. She escapes and
heads to the docks to leave town. Buffy finds her there, and they're attacked by the Mayor's minions.
Faith saves Buffy, staking Mr. Trick. Afterward, she goes to the Mayor's office, forming an
alliance with the evil Mayor Wilkins.

Faith plays both sides, informing the Mayor of what the Scoobies are up to. In return, the Mayor
lavishes Faith with gifts, giving her a great apartment with a big screen tv and a Playstation, and
becomes a rather unusual surrogate father to her.
Faith's betrayal is discovered when the Mayor tries to remove Angel's soul. It all turns out to be a
trick, Angel only fakes losing his soul to expose Faith and to uncover the Mayor's plans.
|
Faith is propelled further to the dark side, doing whatever the Mayor tells her to do. She kills
Professor Worth, to keep the secret of how to stop the Mayor's Ascension. She then shoots Angel with
a poisoned arrow to distract Buffy. The only cure for the poison is to drain the blood of a Slayer.
Buffy is determined to kill Faith. After a long fight, Buffy stabs her. But Faith jumps from the
roof, landing on a truck that's passing by.
Faith is left in a coma. But even unconscious, she and Buffy still share a bond. In a shared dream,
Faith tells Buffy how to defeat the Mayor. She also gives her a cryptic clue predicting Buffy's
death in 730 days.

Faith awakes from the coma about 8 months later. She had spent the whole time dreaming of nothing
except Buffy trying to kill her. She sets out for revenge, using a gift left for her by the Mayor - a device
that switches bodies. After a long fight with Buffy, Faith uses the device. Buffy (trapped in Faith's body)
is taken away by the police (and later kidnapped by the Watcher's Council). Meanwhile, Faith experiences
life as Buffy. After sleeping with Buffy's new boyfriend, Riley, she was about to leave town. At the
airport, she learned of group of vampires holding hostages in a church and decided to go help since she
was now Buffy. Buffy (in Faith's body) also shows up, a fight ensues and they return to their own bodies.
Faith is left in a state of confusion and runs off.

Faith ends up in Los Angeles, completely unstable. She's hired by the law firm of Wolfram & Hart
to kill Angel. After she kidnaps and tortures Wesley, Angel and Faith have a huge, knockdown, drag-out
fight. Angel has realized what Faith really wants- for him to put her out of her misery, but he
isn't going to let her off that easily. Faith begs Angel to kill her. When he won't, Faith collapses
into his arms, crying.
Angel takes Faith back to his place and tries to help Faith on her road to redemption. The police are now right on Faith's trial. Buffy arrives in LA after hearing Faith was trying to kill Angel. She confronts Faith and threatens to beat her to death if she even tries to apologize. The situation is interrupted by The Watcher Council's operatives coming after Faith. A battle ensues and Faith vanishes. Angel is arrested for harboring Faith, but when he's taken to the police station, Faith had already turned herself in.
|
Months later, Angel visits Faith in jail. She's committed to serving her time, and continuing on the path for redemption. Until, she finds out that Angel needs her. To be continued...
