Eliza Dushku... On Broadway
Eliza Dushku has joined the cast of an independent movie called On Broadway, which is being filmed near her hometown, according to The Boston Herald.
The movie stars several other Boston natives: former New Kid on the Block Joey McIntyre and Saturday Night Live's Amy Poehler and is written and directed by David McLaughlin. Poehler's husband, Arrested Development's Will Arnett, will also appear in a small role in the film, along with Yes, Dear's Mike O'Malley. Eliza plays one of the castmembers in the play.
The film is about an aspiring playwright putting on a performance of his play at a local bar. It's being filmed at the Skellig Irish Pub, in Waltham, Mass. Filming is expected to last three weeks, and the small budget film is being made for less than $1 Million dollars. On Broadway's producer hopes to premiere the film at next year's Sundance Film Festival.
